Uncommon does Etech!

March 10th, 2009 by josh

Join Uncommon Projects this coming week at Etech, O’Reilly’s Emerging Technology conference. We’re thrilled to be participating this year. We’ll be presenting the ybike project Monday and Wednesday evening and we’re also bringing a special treat we made just for Etech–the Fortunebird. In highly technical emerging technology circles, it’s referred to as an… “automaton bird thingy” that tells fortunes and “tweets” them to a twitter feed. We hope you get to see it in action and receive one of its special readings of your fate.

Big thanks to the NYC pickup crew that helped make this thing a reality–Paul, Drew, Carlos and the Fangohr team for patiently tolerating our drilling, varnishing and hacking late into the night.
